Karen,

It sounds from the guest book as if you're all going to have a wonderful time, and the years will drop away like minutes -- at least until the following day!

I'll be unable to attend.  We will be in Chicago in mid-May, and my own class is having its 40th anniversary (yes, 40) in August.

I have many great memories of both teachers and students, and your class did indeed have class.  There were the problems that one encounters anytime more than one person is present.  But there was also the blessed presence of God that He promises whenever one or more are gathered in His name.

I've been working for a Chicago-based printing company, RR Donnelley, since 1978, and I'm serving as the Western Region Human Resource Manager.  My wife, Lynn, is a math professor at a community college.  We're both active in our church -- I even gave the sermon today, since our pastor was traveling.

You're great for taking on the responsibility of organizing this.  As we would say in our congregation, you're blessed to be a blessing.

So, please give my best to everyone.
