Kent Shader

Class of 2010

Kent Shader is a member of the Bloomingdale High
School Chamber Orchestra (viola). He has performed
with school orchestras for six years now, ever since
middle school days.

Kent also has been trained in karate through "Lee Jacobs
Christian Karate Center" in Brandon, Florida. He progressed
through seven levels to earn the "Red Belt" (just one
level below "Black Belt").

His summers have been spent working at various YMCA's,
at first as an unpaid junior counselor. The summer of 2009
Kent landed his first paid job, as a live-in 24/7 full-time
counselor at YMCA Camp Winona (DeLeon Springs, Florida).
At Camp Winona, Kent and one other co-counselor
supervised a cabin of 10-12 new campers each week,
around the clock. Kent says that in spite of no A/C and plenty
of bugs, that summer was a really great experience.
