Englewood Restaurants:

If you like seafood, Englewood is the place to be! Johnny Leverocks is within walking distance, and Crabby Bill’s is just down the road. Prime Time is an interesting combination Mexican/Caribbean/Sports Bar.  All with outdoor patios to watch the Florida sun set.

For breakfasts we recommend Pix-Sea (the on-site restaurant) and The Egg & I. Pix-Sea opens at 5:30 a.m. for fishermen and other early risers. Downtown Englewood & the beach strip offer many more excellent choices.  For laid-back, Jimmy Buffet-style entertainment, be sure to visit the “White Elephant Pub” on Gulf Blvd.

The Blue Lagoon, Farlows, and the Gulfview Grill are other good places to try.  Zydeco Grill, tucked inconspicuously into a small strip mall, is very casual but the locals’ choice for authentic Cajun/Creole cuisine.

Take the ferry boat to Palm Island and enjoy a meal and a “Rum-Runner” at  Rum Bay restaurant.  (Once on the island, consider renting a golf cart to explore the island and its white sand beaches...)

These are just a few of our recommendations. You’ll just need to do some more exploring for yourselves!
